# Themes and appearance

> Twenty theme presets with light and dark variants, auto-dark scheduling, navigation tab order, and text size.

## Theme presets

DueZen includes 20 handcrafted themes, each with a light and dark variant. **Zen** is the default — soft sage green on deep slate. Every theme has its own background gradient, accent color, and glass effect.

Browse them in **Settings → Appearance**. Tap any theme card for an instant live preview; the whole app updates so you can see it before committing. Changes save automatically.

The full set: Midnight, Clean Slate, Forest, Sunset, Sand Stone, Blossom, Honeycomb, Arctic, Neon Noir, Terra, Laser, Zen, Sunshine, Ember, Slate, Rosewood, Peony, Coral, Lilac, Surge.

## Auto-dark scheduling

Rather than switching by hand, enable **Auto-Dark** in **Settings → Appearance** and set two times.

| Setting          | What it controls                           |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Dark start time | When the app switches to its dark variant. |
| Light start time | When it returns to the light variant. |

The scheduler checks the time every minute and switches seamlessly. Overnight ranges such as dark at 10:00 PM and light at 7:00 AM are supported. This works independently of your device's system appearance setting.

## Navigation layout

The bottom navigation bar's tab order is yours to set. Open **Settings → Navigation Layout**, hold a tab's drag handle, and reorder Dashboard, Directory, History, Fund Flow, and Settings.

* A live preview bar shows the new order as you drag
* Changes apply immediately
* **Reset to Default Order** restores the original arrangement at any time

## Text size

Text size adjusts the base font across the entire app — cards, charts, and form labels all scale together. Choose Small, Medium, or Large.

<Tip>
  Text size and theme are independent. If a theme you like is hard to read, try its other variant or bump the text size before giving up on it.
